A native Southern Californian, Chaparral Sage is an aromatic beauty featuring talk stalks of purple flowers and very fragrant silver gray foliage that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies! These evergreen shrubs are also known by their botanical name, Salvia clevelandii, and they are noted for being among the best easy to care for plants for Southern California landscapes. These are tough and beautiful plants that can easily handle hot and dry conditions, so we love to plant them in any landscape from the coast to the desert! Chaparral Sage have a fast growth rate and do best when they are given plenty of room to grow and in an area that gets plenty of full sun exposure.
