Santa Cruz Pyracantha (Pyracantha koidzumii 'Santa Cruz')

DESCRIPTION

Santa Cruz Pyracantha

Pyracantha koidzumii 'Santa Cruz'

The Santa Cruz Pyracantha is a native of Taiwan and is noted for producing an attractive display of white flower clusters which are then followed by inedible small red berries. These medium to large shrubs are also known by their botanical name, Pyracantha koidzumii 'Santa Cruz', and we love to plant them along walls, fences and borders where they can be used as an attractive privacy hedge. Also, since they are fire-resistant, they are a good choice for any firewise landscape!

Their tolerance to salt makes them good fit for any coastal area landscape and since they can tolerate pollution, they are also a great choice for adding some nice colors to any urban landscape. Santa Cruz Pyracantha are also drought tolerant with low to moderate watering needs once established, so we also love to plant them in any waterwise landscape design! These evergreen shrubs love to grow in an area that gets plenty of full sun exposure and they have a fast growth rate, so they can add curb appeal quickly!
