Pink Jasmine (Jasminum polyanthum)

DESCRIPTION

Pink Jasmine

Jasminum polyanthum

Everyone loves Pink Jasmine and it’s easy to see why! Sweet smelling flowers can appear in early spring, covering up fences or walls with an abundant cluster of starry pinkish-white blooms that are hard to resist! Native to China, Jasminum polyanthum as it’s also called, is a fast climbing, strong growing vine that in addition to its pretty flowers, also has attractive bright to dark green foliage, so it’s an amazing vine for climbing over trellises or arbors. We love to plant them over old fences and train them to grow over gateways and up columns – use them to dress up old and new structures!

Pink Jasmine will flower best when it grows where there is plenty of full sun exposure, but it can also grow where there is partial sun exposure as long as it’s nice and bright. Give this plant plenty of room to grow and it’s a twining vine, so it will do best with some kind of support and training. Once established, it will have low to moderate watering needs and it gets extra bonus points for being cold hardy, too.

If you love fragrant, pretty blooms, you’ll absolutely want to plant this Pink Jasmine. This popular plant is available here at Palm Paradise, where we have been growing them for over 20 years.
